Nursing Home Omaha

As people grow older, their needs change and they may find that they need a little more support in their day to day life. If you’ve noticed that a loved one seems to be struggling with routine activities – such as getting dressed, cooking or getting about the house – or if you’ve noticed that they’re regularly injuring themselves, forgetting their medication or having other difficulties with maintaining their health and wellbeing independently, you may be considering helping them by encouraging them to move into a nursing home. If you’re elderly yourself and want to move to a space where you’re supported in your living and where you have a more social element of interactions with other individuals around your age group on a day to day basis, a nursing home Omaha may be great for you too!

Choosing a nursing home can be difficult. There are many on offer and their services can vary greatly. If you are in the Nebraska area, a great option to take into consideration is Prestige Care Center of Nebraska City. This nursing home provides the perfect home away from home and will ensure that your loved one is properly taken care of from the moment they move in. The staff at this nursing home will be able to ensure that you or your loved one are properly cared for in all senses of the term. Not only will a comfortable living environment be provided, with individual rooms and larger social areas, but you can also expect the following:

  • Help with the administration of medicine – if medicine is required, members of staff can manage this, ensuring that all medicine is provided at the right time of day for each individual staying within the facility.
  • Routine meals – many elderly individuals struggle to make meals themselves due to issues such as arthritis or mobility issues. This nursing home provides an extensive range of meals which alternate daily over a four week period. Not only are the meals prepared for you or your loved one, but they are nutritionally dense, ensuring health and wellbeing.
  • Entertainment- there are also plenty of activities available to keep you or your loved one entertained. Being in a more social environment can encourage the exploration of new activities. Whatever you or your loved one’s interests may be, there are more than likely to be options that provide what you’re looking for.
  • Exercise – physical activity is still important in your older years, and the nursing home will ensure that various options are explored when it comes to maintaining mobility, fitness and general health in this area.
